Refund policy

Returns, Refunds and Consumer Guarantees

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This policy applies to purchases from Spirits Reserve at spiirits-reservee.com. Your seller is Nathaniel Maurice-Howard Fitz-Gerald, a sole trader based in New Zealand.

1. Our voluntary 30-day refund offer

If you change your mind or are dissatisfied with an item, you may request a refund within 30 calendar days after receiving your order. For an order delivered in separate parcels, this period starts when the final parcel arrives. You do not need to establish a product fault to use this offer.

Contact support@spiirits-reservee.com, identify the items concerned, and provide your order number or another reasonable proof of purchase. No physical return or original packaging is required for a refund under this policy.

We refund the amount actually paid for the relevant items, including taxes we collected, and the original delivery charge for the order. We refund the full original delivery charge even when your refund concerns only some items in the order. The original delivery charge is refunded only once per order. We do not charge a restocking, cancellation, or refund administration fee.

2. Faulty, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed goods

Contact us when you discover a problem. A description and, where reasonably available, photographs help us assess the issue. An order number is helpful but is not the only acceptable proof of purchase. Original packaging, photographs, or a report within a short fixed period are not blanket conditions for your legal rights.

The voluntary 30-day period does not restrict claims for defects, misdescription, non-delivery, or other rights under applicable law. You can contact us directly; you do not have to pursue the manufacturer, overseas supplier, or carrier instead of us.

3. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 where applicable. Our voluntary 30-day refund offer is additional to your statutory rights and does not limit them.

Goods supplied to consumers in Australia are subject to guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. These include acceptable quality, fitness for a disclosed purpose where applicable, and correspondence with their description.

For a major failure, you may choose a refund or replacement, or keep the goods and seek compensation for their reduced value. You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For a failure that can be remedied and is not major, we will provide an appropriate remedy without charge within a reasonable time. If we cannot or do not remedy the problem within a reasonable time, further rights may include a refund or replacement, arranging a repair elsewhere and recovering reasonable costs, or keeping the goods and claiming compensation for their reduced value, as provided by applicable law.

Our policy of not requiring physical returns also applies to refunds under this policy for faulty goods. If you choose a different remedy that reasonably requires inspection, collection, or return, we will coordinate the process and cover reasonable costs that we are required to bear. Do not send goods to our correspondence address or to an address on the parcel without instructions from us.

4. Cancellation and missing deliveries

You may cancel before dispatch for a full refund, including the original delivery charge. Contact us promptly so that we can stop fulfilment. After dispatch, the voluntary refund offer remains available after delivery, together with any legal cancellation rights.

If your parcel is missing, significantly delayed, or shown as delivered but not received, contact us immediately. You do not need to wait for a 30-day period to expire. We will investigate with the carrier and provide the remedy required in the circumstances. Our Shipping Policy explains how we handle dispatch delays and orders we cannot supply.

5. How refunds are paid

We process refunds without undue delay once the relevant entitlement is established, using the original payment method unless you agree to another lawful method. We do not replace a cash refund with store credit without your agreement. Refunds are issued in the transaction currency, AUD; a bank's separate currency conversion may affect the amount shown in another currency.

We notify you when a refund has been initiated. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the credit. We issue refunds without undue delay and within any period required by applicable law. An internal review or a payment provider's processing time does not postpone a deadline that applies to us.
